New Year is always a great time to look to change things, sometimes because you are unhappy with where you have been going. But for Waterfront, it is more a case of looking for ways to improve yet further.
A New Chapter Under Independent Management
With the site now taking great strides under independent management, the first major milestone we are looking towards is the opening of the Dockworks site early in the new year. This will be transformative for Waterfront and we hope it will continue to attract increased footfall and new businesses to the area.
Investing in the Details That Matter
We are also looking forward to some important improvements across the site. These are the small things that make a big difference: the public toilets in the centre concourse and the lift are set to re-open after repairs, which will give the whole site a lift both practically and visually. In addition, more signage is set to be upgraded, and we are exploring plans to renovate the central bridge.
Events, Growth and Momentum
All of this comes on top of even more to look forward to the return of popular events like the duck race, new tenants moving in, continued work on the Metro extension, and who knows what else may be in store.
A Year to Look Forward To
One thing is for sure: if 2026 is even half as good as 2025, then Waterfront is in for another truly great year.
